These vegan bathing suits are made from recycled carpet fibres
Want summer clothing that’s vegan, cruelty-free, and sustainably made?
VegNews reports that Vaute Couture, the world’s first all-vegan fashion line, has just launched its first-ever catalogue of swimwear and summer apparel. The New York-based company is well-known for their winter dress coats and thick-knit sweaters, but are ready to outfit vegans for all seasons.
One and two piece swimsuits are the star of the show, something owner and model Leanne Mai-Ly Hilgart is proud to offer. “Once we found we could make swimsuits out of recycled carpet fibers, it was a great match for the Vaute fashion formula—which is function plus ethics plus fashion,” she told VegNews. Mix and match tops and bottoms are currently available for preorder in a variety of eye-catching colours and cuts. The female-driven company is proud to offer a range in sizes from extra small to extra, extra large to ensure vegans of all body types can rock these looks. They’re hoping fans will take to Instagram to help promote this body positivity.
Chiffon maxi dresses, skirts, rompers, bodysuits, and crop tops are also helping vegans look cool as it gets hot. All sustainably cut and sewn in the New York City garment district, organic cotton and recycled plastic bottles join recycled fibres on the fabrics list.
Fashionistas should act fast - the new line is available for preorder with a 50 percent discount until 2pm EST on Thursday. Not to worry, a 40 percent discount will be offered for the week following.
